Better relationship and greater networking in the future.
On the 13th May 2015, a group of Buddhist Monks and nuns visited KMSS office from 3-4:30 PM. They are from the leadership training facilitated by Kalyarna Metta. Our reverend visitors are from different areas from states and divisions.
KMSS staff presented the nature and activities of KMSS and the visitors had the clarification from the presentation. Some senior staff shared their implementing projects based on their experiences. Some monks and nuns wanted to know very much on the community development activities. They really showed how they are very close to the grass root levels. They also asked how to respond the needs of the grass root people; during these summer, in the central Myanmar, the water scarcity threaten the peoples in Magwe, Sagaing and Mandalay divisions. So they want to support the very practical things. KMSS also shared how KMSS has collecting the Lenten fund and how utilizing these funds for the emergency response.
This is the first time that a big group of Buddha’s disciples- the monks and the nuns visited KMSS. We can see the future in Peace in this globalization era.
The religious leaders need to have strategic thinking and broader mind. We have both to serve the community and to witness on what our faith is.
